Isa Pang Bahaghari is an upcoming film starring Nora Aunor, directed by Joel Lamangan

“Isa Pang Bahaghari” is the sixth collaboration of two artists, Nora Aunor and Joel Lamangan. Guy costars with Phillip Salvador and Michael de Mesa, supported by young actors. Produced by Harlene Bautista’s Heaven’s Best and written by Eric Ramos, “Isa Pang Bahaghari” is meant for the Metro Manila Film Festival, familiar “territory” to Guy who won many MMFF best actress awards. A Guy-Joel collaboration is an event to look forward to.

“Encantadia” star Sanya Lopez is set to star alongside veteran actress Nora Aunor in the new movie, “Isa Pang Bahaghari”. As reported on Inquirer, the news was shared by GMA Artist Center recently via Instagram with a photo of the cast of the upcoming project at the story conference. The caption read, “[Sanya Lopez] is in the stellar cast of the movie ‘Isa Pang Bahaghari,’ which will be directed by Joel Lamangan. Coming soon in cinemas nationwide!”Highspeed looks back at the past five films of the actress and the director, starting with “Flor Contemplacion” and “Bakit May Kahapon Pa?.” Which won international honors. “Flor Contemplacion” was best picture and best actress (Golden Pyramid) at the Cairo International Film Festival. Cairo is the biggest cinema event in the Arab world. “Bakit” gave Nora the best actress award (Penang Pearl) at the ASEAN Filmfest. Needless to say, “Flor” and “Bakit” also reaped local awards. The three others: “Muling Umawit ang Puso,” “Sidhi,” and “Hustisya.” “Sidhi” was the most challenging as Nora played a deaf-mute, acting only with her expressive eyes and face. Only Guy could have done justice to the story penned by Rolando Tinio, future National Artist. Her body expressed what words could not say. Albert Martinez and Glydel Mercado gave Guy wonderful support.

Albert also played Guy’s leading man in “Muling.” She played a singer and he a crusading newspaperman. It gave Nora MMFF best actress award. In “Hustisya,” Guy played a dark character who in the end redeemed herself. In the film, Lopez will play Aunor’s daughter Dolly. She will be joined by Zanjoe Marudo and Joseph Marco, who will be playing her two brothers. Aside from the four stars, the upcoming film also co-stars Michael de Mesa, Phillip Salvador, and Maris Racal – the latter will play Aunor’s role as a young woman. Here is the movie trailer.
